The volunteer committee of FireFest would like to thank the many, many community & corporate leaders that contributed to the most successful FireFest yet!
Thank you from FireFest: corporate sponsors including TekSavvy, St. Clair College Alumni Assocation,JMHI and Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance, HUB Creative, Thames Communications, CK Ready Mix, BDM Millwrights, Sentry Fire, Code 4, Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash and Sticker That combined forces to give us the ability to offer such an incredible lineup.
Thank-you to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent for being so cooperative and supportive of FireFest. We are proud to incorporate our outlying areas leading up to the core show throughout the downtown Chatham area.
To our valued people at the site – many, many thanks go out to Connie George who organized her team of Community Living volunteers and made sure they were looked after through the generosity of Cup of Joe and SubWay (Queen St). Thank-you to Connie Beneteau and the BIA for outfitting the volunteers with safety vests and helping us with closure notices.
Much, much appreciation is expressed to the helping hands from Union Gas who manned the Jr FIRE course. Over 6-hours, the course exceeded 322 youth – a pace of almost one child per minute through the course. A unbelievable feat!! Your determination through the heat is tremendously valued. Many thanks!!
Thank-you to Danielle from Chatham-Kent Medavie EMS who braved the heat while so nicely dealing with the youth and visitors throughout the day.
To Whitney, Ron and the members of the CKFES. Thank-you for being there to meet, engage with and inspire the young people and community members. Your allowing us to be a guest in your hall was wonderful and your demonstrations were informative & captivating.
Thank-you to Tom Chivers and the Maple City Citizens on Patrol team. Your presence helped in many, many ways. From making sure the trucks were enjoyed responsibly to making sure our local and out-of-town guests were looked after with food and refreshments – thank-you for all of your efforts.
Finally and most importantly – thank-you to the members of the public for your outstanding presence and support. From near and far (some investing many, many hours to get here), thank-you. Seeing the smiles and interaction from the upwards of 15,000 estimated attendees – made up of men and women, boys and girls of all ages makes the planning and effort so worth it.
