Junior Achievement has been in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton for over 40 years. As part of an international non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people about business and economics we continue to grow regionally in order to bring our cost free programs to youth in our areas. The JA experience helps young people discover leadership, entrepreneurial and workforce readiness skills so they can achieve their highest potential and future successes as citizens in the global community.
In July of 2009, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton joined together to form Junior Achievement of South Western Ontario. Now partnered, many more youth will enjoy the JA experience. Our goal this year is to reach over 2,400 youth with our programs within the South Western Ontario region. New this year will be our delivery of programs to select schools within the Windsor Essex area. Over the next few years we will be continuing to grow our existence once again the beautiful city Windsor-Essex enabling youth to benefit from our programs.
The youth who participate in our Junior Achievement programs have the opportunity to gain insight and experience which can help them understand the business practices which influence their daily lives.
If you would like to be a part of the JA Experience as either a donor or volunteer please email us at info@jaswont.org. We have many volunteer opportunities and encourage individuals and companies to come on board to participate and encourage the youth of tomorrow!
